12.10.2026Hodonín Zoo – Aquarium Pavilion

The new aquarium fish pavilion at Hodonín Zoo is an interesting addition to the zoo’s exhibits. Construction is now complete and, together with the landscaping of the surrounding area, the pavilion is fully operational.

Clearmont contributed to the project by supplying the building’s lightweight cladding, a striking feature of which is the façade made from PREFA façade shingles.

The metal scales create the façade’s distinctive appearance, which naturally echoes the pavilion’s central theme and, even from the outside, gives visitors a hint of what awaits them inside. However, alongside its striking architectural design, the façade also fulfils all the required functional parameters of a lightweight building envelope.

For Clearmont, this was the first project to use the PREFA façade system. Despite this being the first time this material had been used, we managed to successfully complete the entire system and the result has met our expectations.

We are delighted to have been part of this interesting project and to have contributed to the creation of a building that offers visitors to Hodonín Zoo a new insight into the fascinating world of aquarium fish.
